Hey! Who Is This Guy?

Hi! I'm Jim McDade ... and this is my site.

I've always loved to teach!

And when I discovered that I could combine two of my passions - Teaching and Photography - a new business was born.

I launched this website in 2005 as a way to share my love of digital photography with people from all over the world. It's FREE! No strings attached ... and written in plain language that real people - like you! - can understand.

In the fall of 2006, I launched Jim McDade Photography, a new venture - teaching Digital Photo and Adobe Photoshop seminars here in my hometown - Pensacola, Florida. The seminars have been so successful that we're going to be taking them regional soon.

We continue to add seminars and private tutoring sessions, taking in a growing list of topics as people indicate their need to learn more. There'll be a new e book and a video out soon in which I share a compilation of all the things we talk about in my seminars - all wrapped up in a neat package ... and for a very reasonable price.

As I'm sure you know, the technical advances in digital photography are moving forward at a tremendous rate. Point & Shoot cameras get smaller while Digital SLRs get faster and more sophisticated. LED screens get bigger... more megapixels ... image stabilization ... longer zooms ... the list is endless. And, of course, the latest thing: what people are calling Super Compacts - small, compact ... but with zoom lenses up to 18X and most of the sophisticated features of D-SLRs.

I bought one not long ago - A Canon S3is. It's a great addition to my two D-SLR Nikons.

Innovation and improvements are going to continue. But that doesn't mean you have to go out and buy a new 12 Megapixel - or whatever - camera. Sure, you'll probably want to upgrade every few years.

But it's far more important to learn the camera you have. And enjoy the pictures it can deliver.

After all, this is about the pictures - not the hardware. Right?

So here I am: an old dog who's never afraid to learn new tricks ... and to share them with you.

Please enjoy the site, and come back often.

You can always contact me by e mail with questions and comments. I look forward to hearing from you. jimmcdade@mac.com

P.S. When I started my site I knew absolutely nothing about designing or operating a website. And, to tell the truth - I still don't.

But I was lucky enough to find a full-service ... and I do mean FULL SERVICE! - company that makes this whole thing easy - and profitable too.

If you'd like to explore the possibilities of building and operating your own web-based business, please visit my friends at SiteSell.
